A CHILD has been hit by a car in a driveway in Brisbane's south west.

The young boy, whose age is currently unknown, was hit by a car in a Forest Lake driveway around 3.30pm.

The high acuity response unit, along with critical care paramedics rushed to the scene at Harvard Place, where the boy sustained injury to his face.

Paramedics treated the youngster at the scene before taking him to the Queensland Children's Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
