OUR SAY: THE Chronicle's Adopt a Family campaign is off to a good start.
The efforts of organisations like the Eastwood Early Education Centre have led the way.
Families from the East Toowoomba centre were so keen to help, that 41 gifts for 17 families were purchased in just four days.
Even better, centre director Katy Paton said they would adopt even more families to give back to the community.
It comes as their way of showing their gratitude for being a part of such a caring community.
Every day in The Chronicle we are running lists of families who need to be "adopted'' this Christmas.
Without our readers' help, many of these families face a bleak Christmas.
The Eastwood centre makes a valid point when they say they have the ability to teach the children the gift of giving and not being selfish.
That is a marvellous outlook and one we could all take on board.
This time of year is the season of giving.
Please help these families this Christmas.
