Choking hazard: Popular toy store issues recall
A SMALL children's ball has been recalled by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission amidst concerns it may fall apart and become a choking hazard for infants and toddlers.
The ball - branded the Giggle, or Wiggle Ball - was sold in Toys "R" Us and Babies "R" Us stores in the Australian Capital Territory and New South Wales and also online to customers in Queensland, South Australia, Victoria and Western Australia.
"The Wiggle Ball's rubber knobs and plastic back can detach from the ball creating a small part," the ACCC wrote in a product recall notice which was issued this morning.
"Small parts can present a choking hazard for children under three years of age."
Th ball was sold between July 2016 and February 2017.
