Man missing from Boyne found safe and well in Gladstone

UPDATE Friday 8am: A man missing from Boyne Island since Tuesday has been found safe and well.

Gladstone police said the man had been located in Gladstone at about 5.30pm on Thursday.

He hadn't been aware of the search that was underway to find him, and hadn't thought of himself as "missing".

Thursday 1pm: Police have called for public assistance to help locate a man missing from Boyne Island, near Gladstone, after an air and land search on Wednesday failed to locate him.

Adam Ray Robertson, 31, was last seen at a Boyne Island address on Tuesday at about 2pm.

Mr Robertson is described as Caucasian in appearance, around 175cm tall, and of a solid build with brown hair and blue eyes.

He was last seen wearing black shorts, black shirt, a black hat and was carrying a backpack.

Police conducted an all-day search in the Boyne Island-Tannum Sands area on Wednesday.

Helicopters were called in to assist officers, but Mr Robertson wasn't located.

RACQ Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service joined the aerial search, with its crew conducting an extensive search of a specified area for two hours.
