Christmas groups receive a hand this festive season

SEVERAL South Burnett community groups have received grants for their Christmas carnivals and carol events from South Burnett Regional Council.

Blackbutt Community Christmas Carnival will receive $2000 and Nanango Community Christmas Carols break-up party and hangi will receive $1500 in cash contribution.

Kumbia Christmas Carnival will receive $1200 in cash contributions, the Kingaroy Christmas Carnival will receive $2000 for in-kind services and the Kingaroy Community Carols by Candlelight will receive a $1500 grant.

Proston Lions Community Christmas Carnival will receive $500 in cash contributions and Wondai and Murgon Christmas Carnivals will receive up to $2000 for in-kind services each.

The grant recipients were announced during the council meeting on November 21.
