Cold bite of winter brings subzero temps to Toowoomba
THE cold bite of winter brought subzero temperatures to the Garden City overnight.
At 5.30am the apparent temperature was a freezing -5.0 degrees while the actual temperature hovered around zero at 0.9 degrees.
In some places it's just under at -1.0 degrees.
The mercury is expected to peak at 13 degrees today.

It will be sunny with winds up to 35km/h increasing to 45km/h.
Forecasters are predicting there won't be much relief for the rest of the week with minimums to stay in the low single digits.
It will warm up slightly next week though.
