Developer approved to relocate Blackbutt Hall

PREPARATIONS are already underway to relocate the Blackbutt Hall.

South Burnett Regional Council said Breezeway Pty Ltd had satisfied all contractual requirements to move the hall.

The hall is being moved for the Blackbutt Shopping Centre development, which will be located at its current site.

The developer was given possession of the site for both the hall's current location and the new location adjacent to the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail on Wednesday, February 22.

It has established on-site fencing and started necessary preparations to move the hall.

At a public meeting last week, South Burnett councillor Gavin Jones gave Blackbutt residents a timeline of events in the lead-up to the shopping centre's opening.

The opening has been earmarked for December 1.
