Copley flies Roosters' coop to Titans

THE Gold Coast Titans have struck a deal to sign Roosters centre Dale Copley.

Copley has agreed to join the Gold Coast until the end of 2018 and will be released immediately by the Roosters.

He could pull on a Titans jersey in Friday's clash against Parramatta at Cbus Super Stadium.

The Titans have been decimated by an injury crisis and reopened talks with the Roosters to secure Copley.

The former Brisbane Broncos centre has spent the opening two weeks of the season in reserve grade.

The Roosters and Titans were stuck in a financial standoff over the terms of Copley's release, but the Gold Coast's injury woes forced their hand.

Copley, 25, will bring 86 games of NRL experience to the Titans.

He debuted for the Broncos in 2009 and has been injury-plagued throughout his career.

If Copley can stay fit he could be an important acquisition for the Titans.
