Council turns tap on water main replacement

SOUTH Burnett Regional Council are in the beginning stages of replacing a water main along Hart St, Blackbutt.

The replacement began on February 12 and is expected to be finished around March 29, 2019.

Water supply will be isolated on or around April 1 to allow the new water main to be cut in.

Council will notify residents closer to the date.

A council spokesperson said the works were part of their routine maintenance program and commitment to ensuring the long-term sustainability and efficiency of the region's infrastructure.

"We apologise for any inconvenience that this work may cause and thank you in advance for your patience.”

If you have any enquiries, contact council's water and wastewater branch by calling 4189 9100 or email water@southburnett.qld.gov.au.
