Country couple kick off third round of MKR
COLIN Fassnidge hopes to find another winning team on My Kitchen Rules.
The Irish-born chef was the first to put last year's winners Will and Steve through their paces and tonight his third round of instant restaurants got underway.
Joining him this year is special guest judge Rachel Khoo, a celebrity chef and "dessert queen" from the UK.
But things didn't go quite to plan for Eve and Jason, a happily married couple from country Victoria.
Their fish entrée lacked technical skills in its herb crust and cooking.
"You've really thought about textures in this dish," Khoo said.
"However the crust smothered the fish and unfortunately for me it was slightly overcooked."

Fassnidge praised the duo for pin-boning the fish and using it in three different ways.
Cooking in a brand new oven proved to be a steep learning curve for the soulmates.
There was little the couple could to do save their overcooked leg of lamb and their stress carried through to their roasted vegetables.
"What we've got here is good products but bad time management," Fassnidge said.
"Obviously the lamb is overcooked. We need a time machine to go back and fix that.
"Your sauce was the standout of the dish for me."
They regrouped with their dessert, erring on the side of slightly under-cooked, gooey puddings rather than overcooking another dish.

"I think mine was slightly underdone, just a tad," Khoo said.
"Taste-wise I thought it was fantastic. It was rich; it really filled my mouth with that lovely chocolate taste.
"All in all I think you finished on a high and I think you should be pleased with yourselves."
Carmine and Lauren will host their instant restaurant in Adelaide tomorrow night.
