Disqualified drivers get nabbed driving from court
TWO men disqualified from driving yesterday were caught behind the wheels of their cars immediately after leaving court.
Police in plain clothes caught the men outside the Maroochydore Magistrates Court yesterday, just minutes after the pair had lost their licences for drink-driving.
They had been part of more than 40 people herded through the courts after a massive traffic operation in Mooloolaba at the end of August.
Maroochydore Police operations co-ordinator Tim Fleming said the men allegedly had driven off in their cars from a nearby car parks when nabbed by police.
"This is another example of how some drivers have a complete disregard for the law," Acting Sergeant Fleming said.
The 32-year-old and 33-year-old were charged with driving while disqualified.
