Court to decide Kingaroy solar farm future

THE future of the Kingaroy solar farm is now in the hands of planning and environment court rules.

South Burnett Regional Council received a notice of appeal from the development applicant, Terrain Solar, on November 29.

The applicant had 20 business days under the provision of the Planning Act 2006, to lodge an appeal against the council's decision to the Planning and Environment Court of Queensland.

The council made a notice to refuse the development application for the proposed solar farm on November 23.
