Craney McCraneface? Do you have a winning name?

PRIMARY school students throughout the South Burnett are invited to participate in a name the crane and colouring competition to celebrate the recent instalment of the crane at the Kingaroy Hospital redevelopment site.

The installation of the 40m-high tower crane is a major milestone in the redevelopment project, which is on track to be finished by late 2021.

The crane will be used to lift items such as formwork, steel, concrete blocks, steel framing, roof sheeting, airconditioning units, solar panels, and other items required for the construction.

Project director Phil Gregory said the new hospital would improve health care for the community.

"We are on track to deliver the Kingaroy Hospital redevelopment project by late 2021 and this crane will certainly change the skyline of the South Burnett, and the community will really start to see the new hospital take shape," Mr Gregory said.

The winner of the name the crane competition will have their crane name displayed on the equipment and will receive an iPad donated by Kingaroy Hospital redevelopment contractors Broad Construction.

The winners of the colouring competition will have their artwork displayed on the new hospital website and will receive a gift voucher donated by Kingaroy Office Central.

Entry forms and details for the name the crane and colouring competition are available on the Kingaroy Hospital redevelopment web page.

The competition is now open and will close on December 6. The winner will be announced shortly after.
