More than a dozen crews fight South Burnett grass fire

UPDATE: A QFES spokeswoman said there were 13 crews working on containing a fire at Goodger.

Crews were performing some back burning on the western side of the grass fire.

Machinery was being transported to the site to help with the construction of containment lines.

She said they didn't have an estimate on how big the fire was but no structures were under threat.

EARLIER: TWELVE Queensland Fire and Emergency crews are responding to a grass fire at Goodger.

Firefighters are working to contain the blaze near Neale Rd and Staiers Rd, Goodger.

Smoke is affecting the area, so residents should close windows and doors and keep respiratory medications close by if required.

Motorists are advised drive with caution and to conditions.
