Crews extinguish Kingaroy car fire

UPDATE 1.10PM: FOUR Queensland Fire and Emergency Service crews responded to a car on fire at Bell Vista Ave, Kingaroy.

A QFES spokesman said there was smoke and a car on fire when crews arrived on scene at 12.30pm.

The spokesman said crews were unable to determine whether the car was a wreck or not as it was fully involved in the fire.

The area was made safe and crews left the scene at 12.57pm.

The Queensland Police Service was not required to attend.

EARLIER 12.40PM: FOUR Queensland Fire and Emergency Service crews are on scene at a grass fire burning on Bell Vista Ave, Kingaroy.

A QFES spokeswoman said crews arrived on scene at 12.40pm

Smoke may affect residents and motorists in the area. Residents should close their doors and windows and keep medication close by if suffering from a respiratory condition.

Motorists should use caution and drive to conditions.
