Crowning a Showgirl for Biggenden
FOR something different the Biggenden Show Society will host a high tea as part of the Miss Showgirl, Rural Ambassador and Junior Show Ambassador judging on Saturday.
Two young women, Samantha Olsen and Cooper-Anne Fotheringham are vying for the Miss Showgirl title.
Biggenden Miss Showgirl 2014 Taliah Faint and Queensland Miss Showgirl Sophie Hughes will sash the winner.
Co-ordinator Tamara Thode said the society had introduced a class for a Junior Show Ambassador.
"As you have to be 20 to enter the Rural Ambassador competition, the junior class was a way to more young people involved in the show," she said.
Entrants include Lucy Kinbacher, Fiona Gethings, Sophie Hall and Vanessa McIntyre.
At this stage no one has come forward for the Rural Ambassador competition.
Anyone still wanting to enter can phone Tamara Thode on 0417 610 019.
The afternoon will also include a scrumptious afternoon tea, complimentary drink upon arrival.
A bar will also be available while dress code is smart casual/race wear.
Doors open at 1.30pm. Tickets are $15.
Bookings can be made at Burnett Livestock and Realty or at the door on the day.
There will also be stalls and displays.
