Diamonds face new Test threat

QUEENSLAND Firebirds rising star midcourter Kim Ravaillion is taking a well-earned break after the Diamonds wrapped up a 4-1 Constellation Cup series win.

However, you can be sure her national teammates won't be taking it easy when they take on world No.5, Malawi, in a two-Test series starting in Wollongong tomorrow night.

Australian coach Lisa Alexander said her side won't be resting on its laurels.

"We took a brief moment to acknowledge our Constellation Cup achievement as a group but we know our job isn't done yet," she said.

"The challenge for us is to back up and adapt to Malawi's unique style while maintaining our intensity and development in our last international series before next year's Commonwealth Games.

"At the start of our international season, we set our sights on winning all five Tests on home soil so we've still got work ahead of us.
