Dolphin appears to show gratitude at being rescued

A MAN has shared touching images of the rescue of a wild dolphin found in difficulty at Tangalooma on Moreton Island.

Tim Chow wrote into the Daily saying he had been able to witness the rescue of the dolphin, which its rescuers named Silhouette, on Sunday night.

"It was a moment that will stay in my mind," Mr Chow wrote.

"It was great to see that Silhouette eating fish and sticking around after being carried to shore.

"Even Silhouette knew that it was being cared for."
