
Dope seizures worth $4.2m, say cops
POLICE have seized cannabis with an estimated street value of $4.2 million over the past week in the Richmond Local Area Command.
2099 plants were seized and destroyed by police that were discovered in a number of areas including near Nimbin, Rappville and Tabulam.
The seizures are part of the annual cannabis eradication program.
Two people were charged in connection with the raids and more charges are expected to be laid in coming weeks.
This week's raids follow recent operations in the Coffs/Clarence, New England, Mid North Coast and Tweed/Byron Local Area Commands.
