Driver survives crash with semi-trailer

A DRIVER is lucky to be alive after her car collided with a semi-trailer on the Moonie Hwy this afternoon.

The driver pulled out of Halliford Rd onto the Moonie Hwy, hitting the front two wheels of an oncoming semi-trailer.

The incident occurred just after 3.30pm and emergency services attended the incident shortly after.

Attending firefighters were seen picking up pieces of the vehicle along the highway.

Senior Constable Brad Allen said the female driver most likely ignored a give way sign.

Neither driver was injured.
