Drug team travels to Miriam Vale to dismantle alleged den

SPECIALIST police are travelling from Brisbane to Miriam Vale to help dismantle an alleged clandestine drug laboratory found earlier today.

Local officers are guarding the house while the Illicit Laboratory Investigation Team travel to the Roe Street address where they executed a search warrant at around 7.15 this morning.

Police will allege they located a backyard drug laboratory used in the manufacturing of methylamphetamines in the garage.

A 47-year-old Miriam Vale man has been charged with producing dangerous drugs and was due to appear in the Gladstone Magistrates Court this afternoon.

Police investigations are continuing.
