Drunken fight in Kingaroy bar toilet

A MAN has been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm after a fight broke out in the men's toilets at a Kingaroy establishment.

In the early hours of Sunday, November 22, police were called to the licensed premises after an altercation between two men.

Kingaroy Police officer- in-charge Senior Sergeant Duane Frank said the police were called when one of the men was allegedly knocked out.

"There was a verbal altercation between the victim and offender which the offender took offence to," Snr Sgt Frank said.

He said the alleged offender punched the victim around the face and head and punched him repeatedly, before an ambulance was called.

The 25-year-old victim was transported to Kingaroy Hospital with head and face injuries.

The 21-year-old alleged offender will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on January 4.
