Police plea for help to find Dysart man

DYSART police are searching for an older man and relatives have taken to Facebook to plea for local assistance.

A family member posted the following in various Facebook groups:

"If you see this man please contact 0417637647 Katreena Nader. Local Dysart police, ambulance or hospital. 

"Last seen around 9am wearing red shirt blue jeans. Heading down garnham past seashore st. He has run from police into the bush. May already be across the high way. A search party has been issued with the dog squad and helicopter. If see him please keep your distance, keep an eye on him and contact numbers above immediately. He is very confused.

"Information you should know. This is John Marks, he has recently suffer 3 strokes and a heart attack. He is very confused and could be quite volatile. He is deaf and his communication levels are seriously impacted. As a family we have tried our best to keep him in a home environment and not institutionalised. However our best efforts have not prevailed. The police and ambulance are searching for him now. Please no hatefull comments, keep in mind how you would feel if this was your family member. Thank you."
