South Burnett Christmas lights competition entries open
ENTRIES for the Hancock Prospecting Christmas Lights Competition 2015 are now open.
Mayor Wayne Kratzmann said this year's Community Christmas Lights Competition boasted one of the most generous prize pools in Queensland.
Hancock Prospecting chairperson Gina Rinehart said the company was appreciative of the welcome it had received from the Kingaroy and South Burnett community.
"We also respect and regard highly our wonderful friends in the area," Mrs Rinehart said.
"I grew up in the country and love country people and their values, and we're very happy to be able to be a part of bringing a little extra Christmas cheer to our friends and other good people in the region."
Prizes include family holidays to Singapore, and cash payments of up to $1000.
The main prize for the South Burnett champion is a trip to Singapore for two adults and two children including return economy, full-service flights from Brisbane to Singapore.
The trip includes five nights at the Shangri La Hotel in a tower wing, deluxe room, with breakfast daily.
Return private transfers between Singapore Airport and the Shangri La Hotel, high tea at Raffles, and comprehensive travel insurance are also included.
The holiday is worth an estimated $15,000.
The second prize, for the South Burnett champion runner-up, is a trip to Singapore for two adults and two children.
This trip includes flights, transfers, high tea at Raffles and travel insurance, with five nights at the Traders Hotel, in a superior room, with breakfast daily.
The holiday is valued at an estimated $10,000.
