MUST WATCH: Amazing video of Range Crossing progress

INCREDIBLE video showing the progress of the Toowoomba Second Range Crossing has become available to the public.

The drone flyover footage of the entire 43km bypass was captured by Nexus Infrastructure last month to show how far the project is towards completion.

Nexus CEO John Hagan launched the video at the Toowoomba Transport and Logistics Symposium last week, where he took the audience through the $1.6 billion project.

Earthworks, drainage, structures and work on the massive 800m viaduct have already begun, with pavement and road "furniture" expected to be started by August and October respectively.

Mr Hagan said one of the main challenges with the project was dust suppression, an issue exacerbated by the lack of rain.

"We are not opposed to rain - there's a large number of water storage ponds along the sides where we try to use it for dust suppression," he said.

"Dust is a constant challenge, especially given how dry it has been."

Mr Hagan said most of the works would be done by local contractors, with the exception of certain fabrications.
