Family fun day for speedway fans
THE country's best speedway drivers will race in Kingaroy this weekend and the club has made sure the region's kids can get in on the action.
The South Burnett speedway club will host a fan appreciation day on Saturday from 9am- noon at Cheers Triangle at the Kingaroy Showgrounds.
Tanya Barron from the club said the free family friendly event on the second day of the Kings Royal would give everyone a chance to meet the drivers and see the cars up close.
"It gives people an opportunity to see the cars and drivers and for kids to get autographs from drivers and for the drivers to interact with the community," she said.
"At the moment we have got cars around town and we think if there is a presence in the town people will get to know more about the event."
There will be a jumping castle and sausage sizzle and many of the drivers will have hero cards and posters for the kids.
