Family to hold public memorial service for little Lochie
A PUBLIC memorial service will be held this Saturday for the 22-month-old killed when hit by a garbage truck outside his family's Kleinton home last week.
The service for Lochlain Atkinson, who was tragically killed on Thursday last week, will take place at Laurel Bank Park.
Lochlain's parents Paul and Olivia have asked members of the public to wear white or colourful clothing, rather than traditional black.
A private service will be held afterwards for family and close friends.
The public memorial service will be held at 9am.

The announcement was made on the Lochlain Forever Facebook page. It was accompanied by this message of thanks:
"Again, the family wish to express their sincerest gratitude for the countless outpourings of love and kindness from the community in so many ways.
"It's been such a strength to them."
