RACQ CareFlight Rescue crews attended two separate accidents involving farm machinery within a matter of hours today.

The Toowoomba-based rescue helicopter was tasked to the scene of an incident in Thornton, near Laidley at about 10.40am.
It's understood a 69-year-old man was working with farm equipment when he was struck by a piece of spinning machinery, causing serious head and neck injuries.

The man was airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

One hour after the first tasking, the Brisbane-based RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter was called in to assist at the scene of a second accident at a property located in Chinchilla.

The CareFlight clinical crew assisted Queensland Ambulance Services officers to treat a 24-year-old man at the scene for crush injuries to his right arm.

The man was reportedly unloading a grain truck when the machinery stopped working, as he attempted to fix the equipment the vehicle tray collapsed on top of his arm.

The patient was also flown to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for further medical treatment.

He travelled in a stable condition.

The not-for-profit rescue service has now attended to the scene of six farming accidents since the start of the financial year.
