Farm management on agenda

MINISTER for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry John McVeigh will be in Kingaroy on Wednesday to talk to farmers about on-farm management practices.

Speakers at the workshop will highlight new developments and proven strategies in optimising genetics, management systems of water and vegetation, food and industrial value-adding opportunities in sorghum, and wild dog management.

There will also be seasonal forecast information for the Burnett available.

The one-day workshop will be at the J Bjelke-Petersen Research Station on Goodger Rd, Kingaroy from 9am-3.15pm.
