A TEEN helped bash a father and his son outside their Riverview home.

At Ipswich District Court yesterday, Tyrone Bradley Hungerford, 18, pleaded guilty to common assault and assault occasioning bodily harm in company charges.

Crown prosecutor Ryder Reid said Hungerford (pictured) and a 48-year-old man named Wayne Hedley turned up at the victims' home on October 28, 2014 and began threatening them.

Hedley had stopped by the house earlier that day and threatened to kill the father and his son over $3000 he believed was owed to him.

When Hedley returned with Hungerford to the house, the pair got out of their car and began beating up the victims.

Hungerford punched the 16-year-old son in the face. When the boy fell down, Hungerford repeatedly kneed him in the head. Hungerford then attacked the 50-year-old father who was wrestling with Hedley.

After assaulting the victims, Hedley and Hungerford drove off. The victims were taken to hospital for minor injuries.

Hungerford was sentenced to nine months in jail, suspended for two years. Hedley was sentenced for the same offences in September. He received six months in jail, suspended for 18 months.
