Festival attendee caught urinating in public


A 42-YEAR-OLD Murgon man is $126 poorer after Kingaroy Police booked him for public urination after Wine and Food in the Park.

The man was fined for relieving himself on Haly St at about 7.50pm on March 10.

Earlier in the day, police issued an on-the-spot fine to a 23-year-old Pialba woman for being a public nuisance.

Officers gave her the $378 fine at about 5.30pm after a number of complaints from patrons at the Wine and Food Festival in Memorial Park.

Other than the two infringement notices, Kingaroy Senior Sergeant David Tierney said the festival attendees were very well behaved.
