Financial disclosure threshold increases
THE amount of money companies can donate to political parties without having to report the donation will increase from July 1.
The financial disclosure threshold ensures all donations to political parties valued at more than $11,900 in a single year are disclosed.
But the threshold will rise to $12,100 from July, in line with the consumer price index.
The increase of $200 will be the smallest since the threshold was first indexed at a starting value of $10,000 in 2005.
