Fire crews called to Cherbourg blaze

THREE Queensland Fire and Rescue crews have been called to control a fire that is burning in grassland near Cherbourg.

A QFES spokeswoman said the fire started at about 12.45pm and the first crew arrived at 12.55pm.

They started backburning to protect nearby property on Murray Road and Cobbo Street.

There's no indicaation of how the fire started.
