Fire crews kept busy overnight

FIREFIGHTERS were out in full force yesterday as they battled blazes at Cooyar, Goodger and Booie.

It is reported the Cooyar Town Rural Fire Brigade attended the scene at The Palms Rd.

The blaze was one of three fires attended by crews since late yesterday afternoon.

Queensland Fire and Rescue's Mark Long said two grass fires were sparked at Goodger and Booie, with only machinery sustaining damage.

The Goodger fire was reported at 4.15pm and 14 fire crews from the South Burnett and Sunshine Coast attended the Buttsworth Rd scene.

"Five fire crews worked on the fire at Booie," Area Commander Long said.

The Booie fire was called in at 5.45pm.

"Both are now under control and crews are monitoring both situations," Mr Long said.

"The Goodger fire was caused by an ember from an existing fire from the day before.

"The one at Booie was sparked from a lawn mower."
