Firefighters continue to battle two Burnett bushfires

FIREFIGHTERS will continue to monitor the Goodger blaze this afternoon.

QFES upgraded the blaze to a bushfire as of 1pm today.

Crews will remain on scene at near Kingaroy Cooyar Rd and Old Taabinga Rd, Goodger.

The firefighters have contained the blaze and will continue to monitor the area.

There is no threat to property at this time, but smoke is affecting the area.

Residents are urged to keep windows and doors closed and to keep respirator medications close by.

Motorists should drive with caution and to the conditions.

Anyone who feels their property is under threat, should call 000 immediately.

This comes after QFES crews constructed fire breaks and finished back burning on Friday.

QFES crews are also monitoring the Linville bushfire as residents are advised to stay informed of the latest updates.
