1. Go to the races

THE Nanango Race Club will hold its first meeting of the year on Saturday, February 24. The Fashion on the Field theme is Floral Shirts, Floppy Hats and Floaty Dresses. Gates open at 11am and there will be a free bus running from GlendonSt in Kingaroy from 12pm and the Fitzroy Hotel in Nanango from 12.20pm.

2. Wondai Country Markets

THE Wondai Regional Art Gallery's monthly markets will be at Coronation Park in Wondai from 7am on Saturday, February 24. The markets feature food and gift stallholders. Live entertainment will also be available.

3. Proston Show Dance

THE annual Proston Show Dance will be at the Proston Community Hall in RodneySt, Proston, and begins at 7.30pm Saturday, February 24. The dance will be the opening for the annual Proston Show. The theme is 1960s.

4. Kumbia Storm Recovery barbecue

SOUTH Burnett Regional Council and BIEDO will be hosting a free barbecue at the Kumbia Memorial Hall in Bell St, Kumbia, from 3.30pm on Sunday, February 25. This will be in honour of those affected by storm damage this year.

5. Kingaroy BSMX Coaching Day

SOUTH Burnett Junior Motorcycle Club is holding a coaching day from 9am to noon on Sunday, February25. This will be held at its track at Kingaroy Showgrounds. To book a place, phone Ben Schodel on 0410690392. It costs $60 to take part.
