Five things to do in the South Burnett this weekend
1. Secure your car
THE Murgon community, neighbourhood watch and the police have joined forces to fight against crime.
Queensland Police will help local drivers fit one-way screws on their number plates to deter theft at an event hosted by Murgon Neighbourhood Watch.
The event will be hosted by Murgon Neighbourhood Watch from 9am-noon at 54 Macalister St, opposite Clifton Motors. Cost will be a gold coin donation.
2. Wondai markets
GRAB a bargain at the Wondai Country Markets held at Coronation Park from 7am-noon.
The markets will have a range of fruit and vegetables, arts and crafts and knick-knacks and clothing.
3. Nanango Mini Markets
THE Nanango Mini Markets are held outside the Churchyard Op Shop at the corner of Drayton St and Burnett St.
The markets will have many stalls and a sausage sizzle from 7am-noon.
4. Endeavour Rally
KEEP an eye out for more than 20 vehicles taking on a special one-day Endeavor Rally in Kingaroy.
The vehicles travelling to and from Jondaryan will arrive at the Kingaroy Endeavour kitchen at around 1pm.
5. Meet the author
MEET award-winning children's author, artist and radio personality, Karen Russell, as she delves between the covers of Deakon the Dragon is Sad.
Enjoy afternoon tea and every child will get a framed dragon picture at the event at The Shed in Nanango from 1.30pm.
