Five things to do this weekend
1. DANCE AT THE DISCO
A BLUE Light disco will be held at the Kingaroy Town Hall in Glendon St from 6-8.30pm on Friday. Entry is restricted to prep to 14-years-old and costs $5. The Blue Light Discos are drug and alcohol free.
2. OLD-TIME TRADITION
KUMBIA will host its bi-annual Debutante Ball at the town's Memorial Hall on Sunday, June 16 at 7pm with the debutante to be presented at about 9pm. The theme for the night is One Enchanted Evening. There'll be live music and entry costs $20 for adults.
3. HAVE FUN IN THE PARK
MURGON Lions will host a Family Fun Day in Lion's Park on Saturday, June 16. The day will celebrate 100 years of Lionism. There'll be free face painting, a jumping castle, fairy floss and plenty of food and drink. Entry is free and the day runs from 9am-2pm.
4. ROCK OUT WITH ELVIS
KICK off your blue suede shoes and come dancing with Elvis. The Kingaroy Elvis Show will be held at the Kingaroy Town Hall on Saturday, June 16. You'll be able to enjoy two generations of Elvis, some Roy Orbison, Johnny Cash and Shania Twain. Call 4162 5151 to book a ticket. They cost $40 per person.
5. GO TO THE MARKETS
WOULD you like to buy some fresh fruit and veggies? Perhaps some hand made clothing or knitted craft? Are sweet treats more your thing? If so, swing by the Blackbutt Markets from 7am-noon on Sunday, June 17. They are free and held at the Les Muller Park in Hart St. All are welcome. For more details call 4170 0068.
