Five things to do this weekend

1. Wondai Country Festival

Browse the country markets, enjoy the music and join in on the kid's entertainment and rides. The festival will run all weekend, commencing at 7am on Saturday June 23 in Coronation Park, Wondai.

2. Winter Warmers

Rug up with your scarf and join the community in the Kingaroy Town Hall Forecourt for the Winter Warmers concert. It will be a free evening of entertainment and children's activities, with country music artist Liam Brew performing his live music. Free soup and a sausage sizzle, face painting and craft activities will be available. The event is on Friday June 22 from 4pm to 7pm.

3. Go for a run

Wondai will be hosting its country running festival this weekend. The races are part of the country festival and includes a park run, fun run and a forest cross-country trail run in McEuan forest on Saturday June 23. A marathon, half marathon and 10km rail trail will be held on Sunday.

4. See a movie

Kingaroy cinemas are currently showing long awaited sequels to movie favourites. There are various sessions available for Incredibles 2, Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom and Ocean's 8.

5. Experience magic

Kingaroy St Mary's production of Peter Pan will be performed by the students this weekend with a 6pm show on Friday and Saturday night. Tickets are available through the school office.
