Five things to do this weekend

1. FIND A BARGAIN

EXPLORE the stalls at the Kingaroy markets on Saturday morning.

The markets will be held at the Kingaroy Showgrounds on Youngman St from 7am-noon.

The Hivesville Country Markets and Kilkivan Railway Markets will be held on Sunday from 7am.

They will host stalls of fresh local farm produce, plants, crafts and food.

2. GRAB A COFFEE

FIND a friend or family member and explore one of the South Burnett's coffee shops.

There are many hidden favourite places for morning or afternoon tea, from cafes or diners to the many South Burnett wineries.

3. BROWSE THE ANTIQUE STORES

SPEND a morning wandering through the antique stores and op shops.

Almost every town has its own hidden treasures of goods and wares to discover.

4. GO FOR A RUN

LACE up your shoes and hit the South Burnett Rail Trail for a run.

Head out with your family or join in the Wondai parkrun group weekly run.

The group runs a 5km course (for free) from Coronation Park in Wondai at 7am Saturday.

5. LEARN SOME WAR HISTORY

THE Ringsfield Film Society will screen a movie from the National Film and Sound Archives at its cinema on Sunday. .

The 1982 Australian movie The Highest Honour about World War II operations will play in Ringsfield House's old chapel from 3pm.
