Five things to do this weekend

1. Carnival fun

Saturday, 5-9pm

BRING along the whole family for all of the fun of a traditional country fair at the Proston Christmas Carnival.

Have a go at the jumping castle or making a kite and keep an eye out for Santa's visit.

Browse through the Christmas craft and gift stalls or shop local at one of Proston's businesses, which will be open for late-night shopping.

2. Find the perfect gift

Friday, 6-9pm

SEARCH through the stalls at the Kingaroy Cinema's Twilight Christmas Markets for the perfect gift.

There will be boutique stalls, unique gifts available and handmade items to choose from.

A free meditation session will be held at the markets at 7pm to help relieve the Christmas shopping stress.

3. The Christmas dilemma

Sunday, from 5pm

CAROLS, food and kids' activities will only be half the fun at Kingaroy's Highway Christian Church's Christmas event.

The free event will include musical drama The Christmas Dilemma, which will put a modern-day spin on the original story of Christmas.

There will be a jumping castle and free fairy floss to start the event.

4. Family movie night

Sunday, from 5.30pm

GRAB your friends and family for a night of free Christmas movie magic.

The Polar Express will be shown in the Kilkivan Town Hall from 7pm, with food available from 5.30pm.

5. Annual get-together

Sunday, 8pm 'til late

ANYONE who has supported the Inverlaw Hall dances this year is invited to their annual get-together.

The event will be held at the Inverlaw Farmers' Hall for those who were guests of monthly dances or volunteers over the year.
