Four charged over drugs at private rave party

POLICE have charged four people with drug possession after they were called to a large rave party on private property in the southern Darling Downs.

More than 300 people attended the event on a rural property at Sugarloaf on Saturday night.

The majority of partygoers were camped on the roadside in a public area.

Four people were charged with possessing a variety of drugs including ecstasy, LSD and cannabis.

Police are also investigating an assault that allegedly occurred at the event.

An inspection the next morning of the area where the party was held revealed a large amount of rubbish and evidence of where attendees had defecated in public.
