FREE FAMILY FUN: What is the Christmas dilemma?

SOUTH Burnett actors and musicians will perform a modern-day version of The Christmas Dilemma at a free Christmas event on Sunday December 16.

Kingaroy's Highway Christian Church will hold its Christmas event which will include carols, food, kids activities and the musical drama, The Christmas Dilemma.

Highway Church senior pastor, Tony Mould said the production was a contemporary adaptation of the original story of Christmas.

"Each of the characters have a challenging area in their life to face,” he said.

"When they are faced with the reality of the baby Jesus coming into the world they have something within themselves to confront.

"All the actors and musicians are members of the church.

"They have been preparing for months.”

Family and friends are invited to attend Highway Christian Church for this free Christmas event.

Prior to the musical starting, there will be plenty for families to enjoy.

"We'll have free fairy floss, popcorn and slushies along with a jumping castle and carnival clowns,” Mr Mould said.

The Kingaroy pastor said it was important to keep the original story of Christmas alive.

"Although it's contemporised, we keep to the story of how Christmas is presented in the scripture,” Mr Mould said.

"The wise man is a businessman with a briefcase, he's travelled all over the world with his business.”

The Christmas Dilemma will be held on Sunday December 16 at Highway Christian Church on the corner of Edenvale North Rd and D'Aguilar Hwy, Kingaroy.

Festivities start at 5pm and the musical performance starts at 6pm.
