Free family movie night to celebrate school holidays

A FREE family night under the stars will be the perfect way to celebrate the September school holidays.

A screening of Storm Boy will be held in Proston's Railway Park on Saturday, September 28.

The 2019 film adaptation of author Colin Thiele's Storm Boy tells the story of a boy who rescued and raised an extraordinary orphaned pelican, Mr Percival.

Director Shawn Seet shows the classic Australian story through the eyes of successful and retired businessman Michael Kingley who starts to see images from his past and is forced to remember his childhood on the beach with Mr Percival.

A sausage sizzle will be available from 5.30pm.

Families will also be able to get popcorn, and cold and hot drinks before the movie starts at 6.30pm.

Families are encouraged to bring their own chairs, picnic rugs and blankets.

The free event is proudly supported by the Proston Men's Shed, Proston Round Table and the South Burnett Regional Council.
