Freeleagus concedes defeat as the LNP takes Capricornia

9am: The seat of Capricornia will beheld by the coalition for the first time since 1998 after Labor's, Peter Freeleagus conceded defeat at 8.30 this morning.
Mr Freeleagus has spoken to the media for the first time since Saturday evening and said Labor had performed better than expected in the weekend's poll.
A very excited Michelle Landry flew to Canberra last night for her first National party room meeting and joint party room meeting.
She says it's all a bit surreal.
"I'm so grateful to so many people. You can't do this by yourself."
