FULL LIST: South Burnett roads to be affected by upgrades

MULTIPLE roads will be affected in coming weeks as the South Burnett Regional Council continues upgrades across the region.

The bitumen resealing works scheduled to start this week have been funded by the Roads to Recovery Scheme and council’s 2019-2020 budget.

Krugers Rd, Brownless Rd, West Boondooma Rd and Pincotts Rd at Boondooma, Shellytop Rd, Aberdeen Rd and Woolletts Rd at Durong and Speedwell Rd, Speedwell will be upgraded.

Other roads that will be affected are Rodney St, Proston, River Rd, Kingaroy, Carters Rd, Tablelands, Magee Rd, Inverlaw-Benair, Haly Creek Rd as well as Annings Rd and Hetherington Rd, Manyung-Murgon.

Council said residents should note workers had carried out heavy maintenance on these roads prior to resealing which, included shoulder grading, pothole patching, temporary sealing and other pavement surface works.

Some property owners may experience restrictions to property access for short periods of time while the upgrades take place.

Work areas will be controlled by signage or traffic controllers to provide a safe work environment.

Council staff apologised for any inconvenience caused during this time and thanked the community for their patience.
