
Fun for kids this school holidays
THE summer holidays is a chance for kids to get involved in the community and have fun.
Amber Spicer wants to make sure South Burnett kids have the best time they can that this school holidays.
"I want to provide kids with something they can get involved in so they aren't bored at home or running the streets,” she said.
Miss Spicer will be hosting a kids fun day at the Wondai Art Gallery on Wednesday, December 19 from 9am to noon.
Their will be a variety of activities for kids aged three to 11 including Christmas craft and face painting.
As a childcare worker and daughter of a family in the entertainment industry she is looking forward to creating a safe kid-friendly event.
Growing up Miss Spicer, who is now 18-years-old, was an active member of the community which has fostered her willingness to get involved.
"I was rural ambassador for Wondai show and Murgon show girl and always participated in community events and have grown up in the show community,” she said.
In the new year Miss Spicer will be hosting kid fun days on Wednesday, January 9 and Tuesday January 15 before school returns.
