Furniture shop celebrates 20 years in Kingaroy

KINGAROY Affordable Furniture has had one driving focus over the past 20 years - to make their customers happy by providing good-quality furniture at affordable prices.

"Since we first opened in Kingaroy St we have expanded our business and found it necessary to move to a bigger location in First Ave to accommodate our growth,” owner Anna Faunt said.

"It's been an amazing journey. We have met so many lovely people.

"We just wanted to make things easier for people, so they can still pick up a nice piece of furniture and not have a huge price tag on it.”

Mrs Faunt launched the store with husband Brett 20years ago.

"I can't believe it's been 20years,” she said.

"It's been an amazing journey for us, we came here in 1997 with four children in tow, who were very young at the time.

"What drew us to Kingaroy was the sense of community.

"We found it to be a wonderful environment for our children to grow up.

"The town has been very generous to us, in what it has provided to us, so it's nice to give back to the community.

"That is why we've sponsored the Kingaroy Junior Soccer Club for 19years.”

She said Kingaroy residents had a habit of helping each other.

"We may be a small town but we have a soul in this town,” she said.

She said that spirit translated across to the shop.

"People can rely on us,” she said.

"We do try to go above and beyond in our service.

"When people walk out our doors, we want them to leave with a big smile on their face.”
