MORE than 50 rural women gathered to hear from Burnett speakers and celebrate Queensland Women's Week.

The event run by Burnett Inland Economic Development Organisation recognised women in agriculture on March 3.

BIEDO CEO Kristy Frahm said the event held in the Durong hall was all about giving the women a chance to network with others from the South Burnett and North Burnett and meet like-minded women.

The day's event included speakers such as North Burnett Blue Gum TV show presenter Cilla Pershouse, small business owner Terena Staib from Coalstoun Lakes and South Burnett farmer Tracy Anderson.

Women's nurse Marcia Hunt shared some reminders and Bec Clapperton shared her journey with the women at the event.
