IT WAS only natural that a local dressmaker used to get asked by her brides where they could source other services for their special day.

Now, owner of Rendezvous Designs in Kingaroy Shoppingworld Helen Chaseling has launched a South Burnett-first business that incorporates different services in the region.

She said she modelled Burnett Bride and Formal Events off the My Cube Shops in Westfield shopping centres where businesses can rent a space in a shared showroom.

After working in the area for over 18 years, Mrs Chaseling said she was excited to see how this next chapter would unfold.

"There are a lot of talented people who are trying to sell their goods and services in the area,” Mrs Chaseling said.

"They would usually sell from their home, a studio or through Facebook.

"We decided to provide a platform for people to join us to cater for these bespoke special occasions.

"It's hard to purely showcase their work online so by providing either a shelf, floor or digital space in the new venue, they can look at a dresses but also other relevant businesses.

"For example they can have a consultation with a photographer or a florist,” she said.

Mrs Chaseling said by creating a space for people to view multiple products, it would be a huge asset to the whole region.

"People don't know what they can't see,” Mrs Chaseling said.

"If they can't find the talent, they will start to look elsewhere.

"While people were looking for a dress, I thought they were already in the shop so why don't we show them other products at the same time.

"I put a call-out asking if people would be interested in sharing my customers and the response was enormous, so I did it.

"I hope this venue will provide people with a united place to find everything they are searching for,” she said.

The local dress maker said there were currently 12 businesses housed under the one roof that were from a wide variety of related industries.

Located at the corner of Glendon St and Markwell St, Mrs Chaseling said they were hoping to host a launch day at the new bespoke shared showroom in the near future.
